A welcoming space to connect, ask questions, and take your next steps with support with the KidneyCAN community.

YOU’RE INVITED

A kidney cancer diagnosis can feel overwhelming, and isolating.

You don’t have to navigate it alone.

First Steps is a free, virtual community social designed specifically for newly diagnosed kidney cancer patients and their caregivers. This informal, supportive gathering offers a chance to connect with others who understand what you’re going through.

Date: May 13
Time: 7:00–8:00 PM ET
Location: Online via Zoom
Cost: Free

Led by experienced survivors and caregivers, this session creates a welcoming space to:

  • Meet others facing a recent diagnosis
  • Ask questions in a relaxed, judgment-free environment
  • Hear real-world perspectives from those further along in their journey
  • Learn about helpful resources and next steps

Whether you’re still processing your diagnosis or beginning to explore treatment options, this conversation is a place to start.

Please list any specific questions or challenges you'd like to see addressed during the Community Social, along with any details you'd like to share to introduce yourself. You do not have to share any information or ask questions if you'd rather not. All are welcome to attend, even if just to listen and learn.

Reserve your spot today and take your first step with a community that understands.

An informed patient is an empowered patient.

We at KidneyCAN know how challenging it can be to keep up with research developments and how they could impact your treatment options. We hope the ideas presented in our Town Hall help you as you work with your doctor to manage your care for kidney cancer.

If you’re looking to connect with more people who share your challenges and can offer support, check out our Smart Patients forum.

Join Our Grassroots Army

We know that awareness of kidney cancer and its impact on many lives leads to a sense of urgency, a desire for solutions. Awareness leads to advocacy, and advocacy — joining to speak as one voice — leads to funding and research. That’s how we get to cures.
