HOW TO SUPPORT KIDNEYCAN
KidneyCAN is the voice of patients, caregivers, doctors, and researchers. We advocate year-round for federal funding for research. With your support, our community is accelerating cures for kidney cancer.
Our work has led to $185 million research dollars since 2016; however, KidneyCAN is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit and does not receive any funding through the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program (CDMRP) or KCRP (Kidney Cancer Research Program).
Our work never stops or slows down. With the support of our donors, KidneyCAN makes a difference every day in the lives of people affected by kidney cancer.

WORKPLACE GIVING
Giving Tuesday
Giving Tuesday was founded in 2012 with a simple idea: setting aside one day specifically for doing good. It’s held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. In the last decade, nonprofits around the world have organized giving campaigns on this day to help their supporters understand their needs and make an impact through giving.
We at KidneyCAN use Giving Tuesday as an annual opportunity to raise awareness for kidney cancer. We know that makin progress toward cures depends on the generosity of our supporters, and we spend the day providing education and support for patients and caregivers.
If you would like to organize a Giving Tuesday campaign to support KidneyCAN, please let us know! We’d be happy to provide you with resources and information to get started.

This week, KidneyCAN advocates are on Capitol Hill meeting with members of Congress to ask for increased funding for #kidneycancer research.
We believe that patient advocacy and engagement are essential in advancing research and treatments.
As patients and survivors, caregivers, healthcare professionals and researchers, we are uniquely positioned to speak to the impact of this disease on our lives, and the need for robust funding for cancer research. That’s why we’re urging Congress to provide $60 million for the CDMRP Kidney Cancer Research Program.
We also believe that the National Institutes of Health and the National Cancer Institute are critical in advancing #medicalresearch. That’s why we’re urging Congress to provide $50.9 billion for the NIH, including $9.988 billion for the NCI.
Additionally, we’re advocating for long-term #telehealth legislation to ensure patients have access to care regardless of location. Telehealth is especially important for #cancer patients who need consistent monitoring and specialized care.
Finally, at KidneyCAN, we believe incorporating the #patientvoice on legislative policy matters is essential in #acceleratingcures and improving outcomes. We urge Congress to listen to the patient`s voice on matters of health care legislation.
We are committed to advocating for robust funding for medical research and advancing policies that promote clinical trial development and diversity in enrollment.
Join us in advocating for a brighter future for kidney cancer patients and survivors!
