After some tense drama surrounding the months-long legislation, the President signed into law the coronavirus relief package along with omnibus government funding bill that includes the FY21 Defense Appropriations Act.
This package contains an increase to $50 million annually for the kidney cancer research program (CDMPR/KCRP).
Led by KidneyCAN — a coalition of patients, caregivers, physicians and community stakeholders of other patient advocacy organizations — all pitched in to advocate for this much-needed increase in research, moving us closer to a cure.
We are celebrating years of hard work that led us to this increase in research funding for kidney cancer.
This is what happens when our supporters come together as advocates.
This is how we fund the cure.
